Role Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Shopify Marketing Lead to own and execute the digital marketing strategy for a growing women’s clothing brand. This role is accountable for building a qualified Shopify audience and converting that audience into consistent online sales. Revenue growth, conversion performance, and repeat customer activity are the primary measures of success.

This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic planning and daily execution across SEO, content, email/SMS, direct outreach, and customer reviews.

Primary Objectives

The core objective of this role is to grow Shopify sales by increasing qualified traffic, improving conversion rates, and building long-term customer loyalty.

Sales performance is the most important indicator of success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shopify Growth & Conversion
  • Own the Shopify storefront marketing strategy with a focus on traffic, conversion rate optimization, average order value, and repeat purchases
  • Optimize product pages, collections, and landing pages to drive sales
  • Monitor Shopify analytics and marketing KPIs, translating data into action

SEO & Content Marketing

  • Develop and execute an SEO strategy focused on women’s fashion keywords, local search, and product-based intent
  • Plan and publish blog content that supports SEO, brand authority, and customer education
  • Optimize on-page SEO, including product descriptions, metadata, internal linking, and site structure

Email, SMS & Direct Marketing

  • Build and manage email and SMS campaigns, including promotions, launches, abandoned carts, and retention flows
  • Segment audiences and personalize messaging to maximize revenue per subscriber
  • Coordinate direct DM outreach through social platforms where appropriate

Audience & Community Growth

  • Grow and nurture the Shopify customer list through opt-ins, promotions, and content
  • Manage customer review generation and reputation across Google, Shopify, and social platforms
  • Leverage customer feedback to improve trust, social proof, and conversion rates

Paid & Organic Coordination

  • Coordinate organic and paid efforts to ensure consistent messaging and offer alignment
  • Collaborate with designers, photographers, and store leadership to support launches and campaigns

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience managing Shopify marketing for an e-commerce brand
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce sales funnels and conversion optimization
  • Hands-on experience with SEO, content marketing, and keyword research
  • Experience with email and SMS platforms (Klaviyo or similar preferred)
  • Comfortable analyzing performance data and reporting results clearly
  • Strong written communication skills aligned with women’s fashion and retail branding

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in women’s apparel or fashion retail
  • Local market familiarity with Long Island or regional retail audiences
  • Experience growing a Shopify store from early-stage to scalable revenue

Compensation

Competitive base compensation with performance-based incentives tied directly to sales results.
